Eat Pro Japan is the 1st restaurant booking and discovery platform in Japan that offers “contactless dining experiences” in a multi-angle approach with just a scan on your smartphone. We make your dining experience safer, more entertaining, and digitally dynamic.You can dive into a new dining adventure that blends both the real and digital world by using Eat Pro Japan. You can easily view the restaurant’s digital menus, videos and pictures, the recommendations from the chef, search by cuisine or location to effortlessly find and book the perfect restaurant in real-time and in 5 languages.As a tech-savvy foodie, you can find a fantastic restaurant in Japan and enjoy a clean, entertaining and digitally dynamic dining experience with Eat Pro Japan.


Question:  Which browser is Eat Pro Japan compatible with?

Answer:

All browsers. Recommend browser: Chrome and FireFox (the latest version).※An error may occur while using Internet Explorer, Edge or an old version of FireFox and Chrome.


Question:  Can I access Eat Pro Japan from my mobile?

Answer:

For all cellphone and smartphone users (IOS and Android): we recommend using Chrome over Safari.When you access Eat Pro Japan’s website with cell phones or smartphones, the page will switch to mobile viewing automatically.


Question:  What are the business hours of Eat Pro Japan?

Answer:

The business hour of Eat Pro Japan is 10:00 to 18:00 (Japan Standard Time). If you wish to reach out to us regarding to any reservation or functionality issues, the best way is to send an email to support@eatpro.jp. Depending on the request volume and your request number, it may take up to 5 to 7 business days for us to handle your request.We are available in Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean.


Question:  How do I make an Eat Pro Japan account?

Answer:

You can access the official website of Eat Pro Japan and create an account by clicking “Sign up” on the top right corner of the website. After inputting your email address, username and password, please click the “Signup” button. Please check the email address you have registered and check the “Email Verification” email sent by Eat Pro Japan. After processing the URL in the “Email Verification” email, the sign up will be successfully complete. If by any chance you do not receive the confirmation email, please contact us via support@eatpro.jp or the contact page. Furthermore, you can also log in through your Gmail account.


Question:  Is Eat Pro Japan free?

Answer:

After sign up, you can start viewing the pictures and videos of all the restaurants, searching and making reservations online and we will send you reservation confirmation emails for free. For some restaurants, making reservation is free.


Question:  How do I reset my password?

Answer:

If you forget or want to change your password, please click the "Request password change” in your account, then we will send you a reset password email to your registered email address.


Question:  How do I change my registered e-mail address?

Answer:

You can change your registered email address on the "Manage Account Settings" tab in your account accessed on Eat Pro Japan's home page. Please note that you must choose an email which does not already have an account, or you will get an error message from us.


Question:  Why am I not receiving any confirmation e-mails?

Answer:

[in the case of PC] ① The registered email address is wrong Please log in again after correcting your email address. ② The confirmation email is treated as spam email. When the security software and mail service has the prevention function, the confirmation email can be defined as spam email. After checking the setting of email filter and security software, please set the following email address receivable.

Question:  The registration of your credit card.

Answer:

Some restaurants may require your credit card information to complete the booking. In this case, please input your credit card information during the booking process.

For your convenience, you can also save your credit card information under “Manage Account Settings” in your account, so you do not have to input your credit card information each time when you make a reservation.

Please refer to our privacy policy about how we are going to secure our users’ data.


Question:  How do I delete my account?

Answer:

To delete your account, please go to My account -> Manage Account Settings -> DELETE ACCOUNT, then input DELETE and click the “DELETE ACCOUNT” button.

Please notice that mail magazine and the vacant seats information are still possible to reach you until 1 month after.


Question:  Why am I not receiving any confirmation e-mails?

Question:  How do I make reservations?

Answer:

Please choose a restaurant you would like to make a reservation first. Then please choose the day you prefer based on the calendar on the right side of the website.

How to see if a specific date can be booked.

available for reservation = Green check Not available = grey horizontal stripe “-“ When you click the green-check date, you will need to choose a preferable time slot.

After choosing a time slot, please choose the number of people and click “GET A TABLE!”

After clicking “GET A TABLE”, please enter your reservation name, read, and check the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then lastly click “GET YOUR TABLE!”

After you receive a reservation confirmation email, it means your reservation booking is complete. You can look at your reservation confirmation details via the reservation confirmation email or log in your account and click “MY RESERVATIONS” ※Please note that if errors like wrong information, invalid time slot, invalid of credit card information or the inadequacy of the necessary information, you cannot proceed your reservation booking.

※Please note that different restaurant has different cancellation and no-show policies, it is your responsibility to check them before completing your reservation booking. You can check by going to your restaurant page, under the basic info, you can view the restaurant cancellation and no-show policies. We apologize that we will not be responsible for any misunderstanding or forget to read each restaurant cancellation and no show policies.


Question:  The status of reservation

Answer:

About the status of your reservation:

• Currently confirming We are confirming to the restaurants whether they can accept the reservation. • The reservation is completed. After you receive a reservation confirmation email, it means your reservation booking is complete. Please visit the restaurant on the reservation date on time. • Cancellation confirming You can cancel your reservation via the reservation confirmation email you received or log in your account on our website and go to “MY RESERVATIONS”. ※Based on the cancellation policy of each restaurant, you can cancel your reservation with or without extra cancellation charges.

• Cancellation is completed You will receive a reservation cancellation email after you complete the cancellation process. Please note that you can also receive such cancellation email if the restaurant cancels this reservation on their site due to any circumstances on their site.

• Cancellation on the day you visit If you want to cancel your reservation on the date of your reservation, the cancellation fee will be charged based on the cancellation policy of restaurants. • No show Not appear at the restaurant on the reservation date without informing Eat Pro Japan and the restaurant. The no show fee will be charged based on the cancellation and no-show policy of restaurants.

※Please note that different restaurant has different cancellation and no-show policies, it is your responsibility to check them before completing your reservation booking. You can check by going to your restaurant page, under the basic info, you can view the restaurant cancellation and no-show policies. We apologize that we will not be responsible for any misunderstanding or forget to check each restaurant cancellation and no show policies.


Question:  How can I change the reservation?

Answer:

If you want to change the date, the time or the number of the seats, please cancel your current reservation first and make a new reservation.

You can cancel your reservation via the reservation confirmation email you received or log in your account on our website and go to “MY RESERVATIONS”.

Then you can make a new reservation by going to our website.

Please note that there may be a cancellation fee charged based on the cancellation policy of the restaurant.


Question:  How do I cancel my reservation?

Answer:

You can cancel your reservation via the reservation confirmation email you received and click “CANCEL RESERVATION”. You can also log in your account on our website and go to “MY RESERVATIONS”, select the reservation you would like to cancel and click “CANCEL RESERVATION”.

There may be a cancellation fee charged based on the cancellation policy of the restaurant.

※Please note that a reservation cancellation is officially complete after you receive a reservation cancellation email. Please note that you can also receive such cancellation email if the restaurant canceled this reservation on their site due to any circumstances occurred on their site.


Question:  Your reservation is complete.

Answer:

After you receive a reservation confirmation email, it means your reservation booking is complete. Please visit the restaurant on the reservation date on time.

There is a possibility that the restaurant may have to cancel your reservation due to any circumstances on their side. If so, you will receive a reservation cancellation email on your mailbox. It is your responsibility to check your email box for any updates.


Question:  How do I make reservations on behalf of other people?

Answer:

When you make a reservation, please type the person’s name under “reservation name”.

Please write down the information of the person who will visit the restaurant and notice the person to go to the restaurant on the reservation date online.

In the case of miscommunication, please also let the person know or forward the details of the reservation confirmation email you received.


Question:  What should I do if I cannot receive the confirmation e-mails and answers to my question?

Answer:

If you fail to receive the sign-up email, email verification email, reservation confirmation email or our replies to your questions, the following possibilities should be considered. [in the case of PC] ① The registered email address is wrong Please log in again, after correcting your email address. ② The confirmation email is treated as spam email. Question:  Can I make reservations on the day I want to go?

Answer:

We do accept dinner reservations on the day you want to go, up until an hour before the current time. Whether you can make the reservation on the day you visit or not depends on the restaurants policy.


Question:  Cancellations and changes on the day of your reservation.

Answer:

For cancellations and changes on the days of your reservation, please contact the restaurant directly. As for cancellation, the cancellation fee will be charged based on the cancellation policy of the restaurant. The diner has the responsibility to check and confirm the restaurant cancelation and no-show policy before making a reservation.

The cancellation and no-show policies are shown on the restaurant page, under basic information.


Question:  Refund (When you pay the restaurant unintentionally)

Answer:

Regarding the reservation service for food courses at Eat Pro Japan, as the payment happen beforehand, if you want to change the food course type at the same restaurant or change the method of payment, please contact us by support@eatpro.jp with your reservation and payment details. We will make changes to your payment situations.

Aside from the above reasons, we do not accept refund requests for any personal reason, please make sure to contact us 3 to 5 business days before your reservation date, that allows us to work on your payment situations.

Please check and follow each restaurant cancellation and no-show policies. To prevent no-show or the cancellation situations, we only accept the beforehand payment.


Question:  What’s credit card's authorization?

Answer:

Credit card authorization is an approval from a card issuer, usually through a credit card processor, that the customer has sufficient funds to cover the cost of the transaction, or whether the card is illegal. It can also refer to the procedure of acquiring that authorization from the issuer.

Authorization will execute after the reservation is confirmed.

However, if you cancel the reservation or the reservation is not successfully complete because there is an authorization issue occurs, a reservation cannot be complete. Please check with your credit card company.


Question:  What is Card Security Code (CSC)?

Answer:

The Card Security Code (CSC), or Card Verification Code (CVC), is an extra code printed on your debit or credit card. With most cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc) it is the final three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the reverse of your card. It is usually a four digit code on the front of American Express (AMEX) cards.

※The Card Security Code (CSC) can be found in different places depending on the type of your credit card.

The Card Security Code (CSC) will not be listed on your receipt.

The Card Security Code (CSC) is only available to the credit card holder, which allows us to prevent unauthorized use of your card.

For making reservations and booking food courses online, Eat Pro Japan is only available for users that are paying with the following credit cards.

AMERICAN EXPRESS / VISA / MasterCard / Diners / JCB

Question:  How to cancel the Eat Pro Japan mail magazine and “vacancy information”

Answer:

You can unsubscribe from the Eat Pro Japan mail magazine from the mail magazine you have received, please click the “unsubscribe” on our mail magazine email.


Question:  Cancellation policy

Answer:

There are two cancellation policies available, one is the restaurant’s own cancellation policy, which you can find on the restaurant page, under basic information. The other one is Eat Pro Japan’s cancellation policy under our terms of use.

The cancellation policy you should put as priority is the cancellation policy of the restaurant that you already made a reservation on, this is different restaurant by restaurant, it is your responsibility to read and confirm.

For any circumstances, where the restaurant’s cancellation policy is not available, we will execute the cancellation policy on our terms of use.

Regarding the cancellation policy of Eat Pro Japan, you will be charged for 50% of the food course’s price on occasion when you canceled 2~3 days before your reservation day. You will be charged 100% when you canceled the day before your reservation or on your reservation day. Besides, for the holidays of restaurants, the conversion method is different. Please refer to Article 5 on our “Terms of use”.
